Kick off of our book recommendation section!

We thought starting with Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari was the perfect start. It is well researched. It is very complete as it touches wide range of subjects such as history, religion, happiness, culture, climate change or science. It is provocative and it certainly does not leave you indifferent.

One may not completely agree with the author but it has the power to make you think, debate and  have a dose of humility, which, in a global human-centred culture of self-importance this is fundamental. This read makes you understand humanity better and face where we are going and what we are doing with our habitat.

We believe it is key to understand where we come from and be aware that we, humans, can collectively change the narrative by acting very differently.

Sapiens by Yuval Noah

Sapiens is divided into four parts:

1) The Origin of the World and the evolution of the specie "Homo"

2) The Agricultural Revolution

3) The first Globalization

4) The Scientific Revolution --> a wake up call!

It is not a book to devour, it is a slow read to pore over. We know it can be dense because of the amount of facts and detail it provides but for sure it is a MUST read you cannot miss upon.

Seventy thousand years ago, Homo Sapiens was still an insignificant animal minding its own business in a corner of Africa. In the following millennia it transformed itself into the master of the entire planet and the terror of the ecosystem. Today it stands on the verge of becoming a god, poised to acquire not only eternal youth, but also the divine abilities of creation and destruction.”
